About Dance Matrix

Originally founded in 1993 as a performance dance company to give dance professionals in the area an opportunity to dance and create, DMC has expanded to be a Performing Arts production company, creating performances and events in the Fredericksburg, VA area. Becoming a non-profit corporation in 2016, we expanded our scope to include all performing arts genres in collaborative events.

We still maintain a Dance Performance Company, with auditions held each year, and create opportunities for dancers and choreographers to explore their art. We perform in and around the Mid-Atlantic in a variety of venues.

Community service events are also an important aspect of our mission. Since our founding in 1993, it has been our wish to spread the understanding and appreciation of Modern/Contemporary Dance, and the Performing Arts with our community, audience members, students, and company members.
